Sound Leakage #02 – Brazilian music (30s to 90s)

There are many things I’m proud of when it comes to my home country — but music tops the list.

For the second edition of Sound Leakage, I aimed to incorporate some of that history through a loose timeline of Brazilian music from the 1930s to the 1990s. I tried to balance male and female voices and select artists who represent both the spirit of each decade and my taste.

Choosing just four or five per era was a brutal task. Some clichés had to make the cut (for good reason), but most of the picks are lesser-known gems — especially if you're not from Brazil.

I hope it opens some new doors for you.
